Carla is a mentor, educator and facilitator focused on guiding individuals, relationships and groups towards wholeness. With deep respect and understanding of the complexities of human connection, her focus is on the inner work required to discover the gifts of becoming and belonging, which are seeded within the challenges experienced in daily life.

Utilizing a process-oriented, trauma-informed and re-centralizing approach, Carla follows the unique flow of experience as it unfolds, seamlessly integrating the wisdom and spontaneity of the dream world and body, while fostering playful curiosity, loving awareness and self-empowerment. 

With a versatile professional background of 20 years in the marketing and advertising industry as well as university and graduate-level education, she brings a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking and teaching expertise to the sensitive work of bringing the unknown to the surface. 

Outside the corporate and academic realm, Carla is a multi-talented artist, expressing herself through music, visual arts, writing, and poetry. Her creative spirit extends to the screen, where she has excelled as a director, producer, and screenwriter of two short films, which have been featured in 25 independent film festivals, garnering 7 awards. 

Committed to awareness education and embracing of all forms of diversity, Carla leads the Belonging and Equity team at the Center for Conscious Living and Dying (CCLD) in Swannanoa, North Carolina.

Her dedication to personal and professional growth is evident through ongoing training and certifications. Among these are an Appreciative Coaching Specialization from IdeIA (Dialogues and Appreciative Inquiry Institute), an International Specialization in Strategic Design from Mónica Herrera School of Communication, a Certification in Creative Connection® from the Person-Centered Expressive Arts Institute (PCETI), and her ongoing pursuit of a Certificate in Process Work program at the Process Work Institute. She has also been a student of Buddhist dharma for 9 years. 

Originally from Venezuela but proudly rooted in El Salvador, Carla now calls the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina home, where she resides with her husband Carlos since 2022.
